The EnGenius ESR1221N2 is a Wireless-N Router that operates in the 2.4GHz frequency range at wireless speeds up to 300Mbps. This versatile router provides superior range and high speed wireless connectivity and is backward compatible with 11g devices.
The ESR1221N2 is designed to support multiple wireless users who need access to the Internet or access to networked resources like shared or wireless printers or shared hard drives so they can transfer files within a home or small office network while at the same time streaming video, music and other multimedia applications. The ESR1221N2 applies QoS (Quality of Service) to prioritize multimedia and other bandwidth-sensitive traffic, letting users enjoy reliable and real-time multimedia entertainment applications or smoother VoIP phone calls.
The ESR1221N2 supports the latest industry standard wireless data encryption schemes (WPA and WPA2) to protect against unauthorized access to the home or small office network. A powerful Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) Firewall and Network Address Translation (NAT) also protects against malicious software (malware) attacks from the Internet offering an additional layer of privacy and security.
