Apacer''s new DDR3-1600MHz memory module for high-end laptops is available from 1GB to 4GB versions. The new module uses the latest DDR3 memory module production process technology, with a 204-pin, 1GB 128Mx8 architecture (unlike the 200-pin architecture used in DDR2 modules). The working voltage has been reduced from 1.8V with DDR2 to 1.5V, making for a 20% reduction in laptop power consumption, and a significant improvement in battery standby time between charges.
DDR3 helps notebook PCs to achieve outstanding performance and superior energy-saving characteristics. By comparison with DDR2-800 SO-DIMM memory modules, Apacer''s new DDR3 1600 MHz SO-DIMM module provides higher performance and lower power consumption, making it ideally suited for use in laptops, where these characteristics are vitally important.
